Below is a link to the actual 63 page study done by researchers at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, including renowned researcher Dr. Darin Padua, and movement expert Dr. Michael Clark, on the impact of adding a vibration feature to foam rolling.
The study concluded that self myofascial release (foam rolling) combined with a vibration feature would result in greater range of motion increases and greater increase in pain pressure threshold than traditional self-myofascial release (foam rolling). The findings demonstrate up to a 40% increase in range of motion when applying vibration, compared to just 18% with a traditional foam roller.
